Hello. I'm enticed by Bento Business's website. And would like to prepare Bento lunches for my husband besides the daily sandwiches he has at the moment (he's not complaining, but I'm starting to feel sick seeing him eat it everyday)

It's going to be a tricky one.  He's got English palate (hence the love for sandwiches) and to make things more complicating, he's also a Vegan. He doesn't eat red meat but eats certain types of Fish. Japanese food and ingredients are really delicious if you ask me cuz I'm Singaporean and I love Asian food. But I think it's going to be a struggle to prepare a perfect English bento. Only recently, he could tolerate the taste of soy-sauce!!!!

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

By the way, is Bento meant to be eaten cold?

That's a tricky one! Does he like rice at all?

You can pack sandwiches more interestingly in the tops of triangular onigiri boxes if you fancy, but they don't always fit right and sometimes there's a bit of waste.

I'd say just get him used to different tastes gradually, but it sounds like you could have a challenge on your hands.

As for the temperature - bentos are supposed to be served at room temp, but you can get bentos that you heat up. I never heat my bentos because I'm concerned about food poisoning, but other people really do do it all the time and they aren't dead yet!  Laughing
