How often do you make bentos?

I wondered how often people attempt to make bentos? Cos I work on a monthly magazine I usually have periods of the month when I'm furiously busy, and some when I'm not, so I tend to go for a couple of weeks making ones every day if I can, and then a couple of weeks when I don't. I also find that if I start my bento making on a Monday, I carry it on through the week because I have loads of bento stuff in the fridge.

What about you guys?

3-4 times a week and this is usually on the weekend (if I have any free tme).

Making a Bento tends to take a large part of the evening. Usually I cook for the bento and have the left overs for dinner. If I have any other activities that evening I don't have time to make a bento.

Recently I have been experimenting with filling a Bento rice bowl with two different colours of jelly (jello). The test jellies have been less than successful and the evidence had to be quickly eaten. However think I almost have it worked out.

I started making bentos around Easter this year (just before the easter break actually) and since then, I've made one for my kid every day (well.. almost because I didn't make any for her in her 6 week summer vacation, but then I was working in that period so I made some for myself)

So.. Practically every day except if I'm not working at weekends or my days off coincide with school vacations and the like.

There are days where I wish I'd never started this, but my kid is expecting her bento now and I won't disappoint her.

I make bento once or twice a week, because I eat rice a lot.  Whenever there's leftover rice in the pot, I have bento the next day!  But I eat bento 2 or 3 days a week, because my favorite sushi place sells them on Wednesday and Friday mornings.  They put other stuff in there besides sushi.  The menu's really cool, and you just say "I want this, that and th other" and they throw it in.  But if you're a real hardcore addict, they know what you usually want.  They use disposable compartment trays for the take away version, but if you have a container to take in, they give you a discount.  I'm ALWAYS running late, so on those days, it's like an extra incentive to get out of bed!
